Excellence in Labor-Management Cooperation Award Nomination

This award for Excellence in Labor-Management Cooperation will be presented to the recipient on January 29th, 2026.
Nomination deadline: December 28th, 2025

Better Built is pleased to sponsor and accept nominations for the annual Award of Excellence in Labor-Management Cooperation. Please consider an individual or organization (company, union, labor management team within an organization, non-profit, public or private organization) that exemplifies cooperative labor-management relations/practices locally.


Please complete the attached nomination form and include a narrative explaining why you feel this individual or organization should be considered for this award. Please include examples of the nominee’s labor-management activities that have a positive impact on an organization, industry and/or the community. The narrative should demonstrate the nominee has some or all of the following desired qualities:

  • History, pattern or reputation of good labor-management cooperation
  • Works hard to build and maintain good relationships between labor and management
  • Collaborates to address issues and concerns
  • Generates innovative ways to solve complex issues and situations
  • Engages in effective conflict resolution and collaboration techniques on a regular basis
  • Consistently shows respect for both labor and management representatives
  • Is known to bridge different perspectives to allow projects and contracts to move forward
  • Serves as an example of labor-management cooperation in the community
  • Encourages co-workers and employees to be cooperative in spirit, and
  • Volunteers for community service/support efforts
